The Mayor of Stevenage, Councillor Michael Downing, launched our new Social Enterprise in Stevenage this November, following the Governments vision for a 'Big Society.'

INNOV8 ME Ltd was founded by Womens Enterprise Champion for the East of England Region 2010, Jane Barnes FRSA, who is a serial Entrepreneur. INNOV8 ME and Yakkety-Yak Multimedia (their award winning accredited partners) are preferred Training providers of ICT and Multimedia to Mind in Mid Herts, one of the Mayors chosen charities this year, also providing their award inning training services across the East of England Region to schools, colleges and Day Care Centres.

The Mayor provided an overview of Minds services in the Community, also sharing personal family stories which led to his support of people with mental health issues and Mind in Mid Herts. The INNOV8 ME Team were delighted to then have the Mayor propose a champagne toast to their future success and his wishes for a sustainable future in the Community, which was very well received by all.

Guests enjoyed interactive displays, presentations of new training initiatives and films portraying innovative training techniques and programmes.

The many guests, from Europe and the East of England region, included EEDA, Enterprising Women, Stanburys (who pledged their continued support for Innov8 Me’s filming with disabled & disadvantaged groups), Third Thursday, other Social Enterprises and Government groups, businesses and Lonsdale Schools “Little Devils”, two of whom talked about their funfilled Multimedia Training programme earlier in the year, and were delighted that the film they made “A day in the life of Lonsdale” was shown, along with other films made by people of all ages and Community films.

Innov8 me and partners Yakkety-Yak Multimedia start their training programmes, Training with Mind in Mid Herts clients in December this year, part of a two year contract for Mind’s So Stevenage initiative.
